Day 3, July 19th: Dinner

About once a week there's a meal that finishes up the leftovers of previous starters and drinks.  We started with an aperitif under the apple tree, including cheese squares, olives, cashews, and bread sticks.  Together with the breezy air after a scorching day, it made for a very pleasant evening!

Al fresco aperitif?  Yes please!  

For the aperitif we had a clairette, which is essentially a sweeter and lighter champagne.  Very tasty and refreshing!  


For dinner we finished up the wine bottles left from previous dinners


An omelette pie for the main course: eggs, cucumber, an onion, cheese, salted and peppered to taste

The dough :

300gr of flour
150gr of butter
10cl of water
some salt

Mix all the ingredients together till you can make a ball, it shouldn't be sticky at all. Let it rest for an hour.

Flatten the dough down and put it in a mould. Open each plum and place them on the pie, then sprinkle some sugar mixed with a bit of cinnamon powder. Put the pie in the oven for about half an hour (thermostat 6, 180 °).
