Day 3, July 18: Lunch


A selection of cheeses is always offered at the end of every meal.  Whether or not the members of the meal ask for the cheese to be brought out depends on the size of the meal.  In a larger gathering, however, a large platter of cheeses will be brought out without question.  Each person chooses two - three slices of their preferred cheese and eats it either on  slice of bread, or alternating bites of cheese with bites of bread.

Thick slices of pork (essentially bacon) with garden-picked boiled vegetables. 

My father-in-law, Dominique Leclerc was quite pleased with this rose wine...
